The Functional Spanish Tizona Cup Hilt Rapier Battle Sword by Mariano Zamorano of Toledo Spain is a hand forged replica reproduction of a 16th century rapier sword, valued in all of Europe, and used by the brave Captain of the Flanders Corps and the courageous Conquerors of America. The Spanish style cup hilt rapier sword stands out due to its half cup shape hilt that could be finished in different ways (open work, engraved, etched, etc) as well as to its graceful and light blade carefully tempered. Original versions of this historically accurate replica of the Spanish Tizona Cup Hilt Rapier Sword can be admired in most of the important museums of the world. This fully functional combat ready rapier sword was painstakingly hand made with a hand forged carbon steel blade by the world famous, fifth generation, Toledo Spain swordsmith Mariano Zamorano. The cup hilt guard, quillons , knuckle-guard, wire wrapped grip and pommel trimmings are cast metal. Bearing the famous "MZ" trademark, this limited production sword is a prized collectible for the discriminating collector.
