El Cid Knight Armor Gold and Black
Knight armor of El Cid (Redrigo Diaz de Vivar), Spanish hero knight from wars against Moors.
El Cid riding a horse standing on a wooden platform. The knight wears a parade suit of armour composed of a horse helmet, a cuirass with pauldrons and bracelets and greaves on the legs. The basin and hoses are covered with black colored velvet breeches. The knight is armed with a round shield, a jousting lance with banner and a sword. The horse also is harnessed with metal parade armor enriched with relief sculpted figures and a black colored velvet caparison.
